The

Screaming Pope Prize

2014

The Screaming Pope Prize, named in honour of a Francis Bacon artwork is an annual prize presented to an emerging Irish based Visual Artist.

The Screaming Pope Prize 2014 is to be held in association with the K-Fest Arts and Music Festival and will be staged in Killorglin, Co. Kerry.

Invitations have been extended to over seventy-five Visual Artists across all disciplines to exhibit at K-Fest which is being held over the June Bank Holiday weekend.

A select panel of industry professionals will assess and judge the entrants work over the festival weekend. This panel will narrow the field to a group of five artists and it is from this pool of finalists that the eventual winner of The Screaming Pope Prize 2014 will be chosen on Sunday 1st June.

The Screaming Pope Prize would like to thank Killorglin Community Council and Carrig Country House for their kind support and sponsorship, without which this award would not be possible.

2014 is the inaugural year of The Screaming Pope Prize.
