Killorglin & District locals recite traditional Irish poetry, the poems you learned going to school. Heaney, Joyce, Longley, Kavanagh, Larkin and Behan will all be recited no doubt. Sure, we might even have a bit of Austin and Shakespeare while we're at it. Come along, bring your poetry book and join in the craic and memories.

Back by very popular demand!!!!

Last years Rambling House turned out to be the surprise hit of the festival. A selection of  drama, comedy, poetry, prose, stories, personal memoirs, songs, jokes, and  anecdotes lit up the disused PT Sullivans in the Square and led to a night of craic and joy that will be hard to top. Well ...  This year we're about to try! Join us in this unique venue for this wildly popular improvised recitation hub.

David Donohue is a best-selling Irish writer primarily known as the creator of the character Walter Speazlebud, backwards-speller extraordinaire and star of David's books, Walter Speazlebud (OʼBrien Press), Moon Man and Alien Timebomb (Egmont).

David has appeared on CBeebies 'Wonderful World of Weird,' RTE's The Den and Nationwide, spelling backwards and often giving a rendition of his party piece, Ynnad Yob (Danny Boy backwards!).
